Attendees: Pastor Joe, Charlie Cox, Tyler McDonald, Wayne Hudson, Larry Mullins, Mike Bell, Dave Roberts, Jim Bennet (Trustee Chairman)

Pastor opened in prayer.

The minutes of May 5th and May 19th were read. Wayne made a motion to accept the minutes. Mike seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Charlie inquired about having our weekly bulletin automatically mailed to the shut-ins. Pastor said he would talk to Gwen and Janet about the logistics.

Pastor gave an update on Nick and Alicia. They are continuing to look for a house and a job for Alicia. Pastor asked the deacons to keep both matters in prayer.

Charlie shared some information about the replacement of the bus. He said both vans are still in adequate condition for what we use them for. Pastor said someone needs to be appointed to take care of the bus before a bus is purchased. This appointed person will be in charge of making sure routine preventative maintenance is performed on the bus and vans as well as other responsibilities which need to be defined.

Wayne reminded deacons that our next communion service is on June 24th in the PM Service. He also asked those who can’t be there to let him know, so he can find a replacement. Pastor will remind the congregation in the AM service of the benevolent offering that will be taken up after communion.

Wayne mentioned the shooting incident in Noblesville last week. Crosspoint Church is having the police come in to discuss what to do if they should have an active shooter encounter. Additional training with our security team was recommended, so they can be better prepared. We don’t want someone adding to the crisis, rather than minimizing it. Aaron Edwards will be contacted about conducting training for our security team and those who conceal carry.

Pastor reminded deacons to continue praying for Nick and Alicia as well as our graduates.

No further business.

Tyler closed in prayer.
