Joe Ferriera

Senior Pastor

Pastor Joe Ferreira and his wife Darcie moved to Connersville in October of 2017, after accepting the call to serve at Baptist Temple. It was a long way from Tampa, Florida, where they served at their last church for over 20 years. Joe and Darcie were married in 1991 and have two sons, Jason (1993) and Justin (1999).

Joe was saved while serving in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Minot Air-Force base in North Dakota he visited a small baptist church. From the preaching of God’s Word and testimony of his wife Darcie, Joe trusted in Jesus as his Savior. Two years later, he felt God’s call to leave the military and pursue ministry. God opened a door of opportunity and within a short time after leaving the Air-Force he was serving in full time ministry.

Pastor Joe’s hobbies include deer hunting and talking about deer hunting. His wife Darcie works at a local funeral home and enjoys arts and crafts.

Pastor Joe is a gifted speaker and teacher. God has been using him in a great way to help our Baptist Temple family grow in our understanding of God’s Word.

Ethan Rogers

Youth Pastor

Ethan Rogers and his wife Joy moved to Connersville in January of 2024 after accepting a call to Baptist Temple. They have been married for two years, and have one daughter, Abia, whom they continually rescue from the affections of a hefty mutt named Peter.

Pastor Ethan grew up in Indiana, but has served both in other parts of the country and overseas in dedication to God’s mission. Ethan earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Pastoral Studies at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.

Pastor Ethan’s hobbies include reading, gaming, being an armchair critic of films, and just about anything that can legally be done in the woods or on the water. He has also been known to dabble in writing poetry and prose. When together, he and Joy often delight in leisurely strolls through parks, in visits to museums, and in laughs resulting from their shared enjoyment of acerbic comedy.

Pastor Ethan works to share both the depth of God’s love and the truth of God’s Word to the teens of Connersville- but as ever, it is God Himself who provides the increase.

Joy Rogers

Children's Director

Joy is the Sunday Kids Ministry Director here at CBT where she organizes the curriculum for the benefit of the K-6th grade children’s spiritual growth.  She is the wife to Ethan Rogers and a mother of two little ones.  When she’s not helping in ministry with her husband, Joy enjoys knitting, baking, and hiking with her family in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Deborah Huff

Children's Director

Deb gave her life to Jesus during her senior year of college. She has been happily married to her husband, Boyd, for 52 years. They moved to Connersville 44 years ago, where they raised their daughters and made it their home.

Deb enjoyed a fulfilling career as an elementary teacher, with her most cherished years spent at the former Temple Christian School. Over the past 40 years, she has passionately taught Sunday School, children’s church, Awana, and Sunday Night Kids classes. Teaching children about Jesus remains one of her greatest joys.

Currently, Deb coordinates the Wednesday night Children’s Program at Connersville Baptist Temple.

Andy Boger

Music Director

Andy Boger and his wife Heather have been a part of the Connersville community their entire lives and started serving at Baptist Temple in May of 2024.  Andy and Heather have been married since 2002 and they have two children, Brandon (2005) and Kylie (2010).    Music has been an integral part of Andy’s life since he was a child and  it continues to play a significant role today. He has been involved in or leading musical worship for over 25 years and loves that his family shares his same love for music and joins on this musical journey.

“I am grateful that God chose music as a tool for me to share His love and spread His word.  I have been playing acoustic guitar and bass since I was 16 years old. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to be surrounded by many talented musicians and fellow believers who are passionate about using music to worship God. I cannot imagine life and worship without music. While there are many things I could be doing, few compare to the joy I feel when completing a worship set with a group of believers focused solely on an audience of “One.””

Abby Howard

Music Director

Abby and her husband Tim have grown up in the city of Connersville and the community has a special place in their hearts. They began serving at Baptist Temple in May of 2024. Abby has been married to Tim since 2009 and they have three children; Branson, Sawyer and Presley. The Howard’s met the Boger’s over ten years ago and have been serving in ministry together ever since.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity the Lord has given me to use my talents for His glory. He has been so gracious to allow me the delight of serving Him in musical ministry alongside our best friends. Nothing that I do is ever because of who I am, but because of who Christ is. He alone is my strength, my song, my joy and my salvation! Each and every moment of our day, including those moments that seem insignificant, presents an opportunity to be glorifying God. My hope is that Christ be magnified in every word and in every deed. What a joy it is to serve our Savior!”

Jeremy Mullins

Facilities Manager

Jeremy Mullins has been serving as our facilities Manager since November of 2023. However, he has been faithfully serving in many different ministries over the years before joining our staff at Baptist Temple.

Jeremy grew up in the Connersville area where he met his wife, Jane. They have been married for 28 years and have two children, Jenna and Jace.  In his spare time, Jeremy likes to coach and watch his kids participate in a multitude of different sports.  Jeremy is also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Jeremy loves serving God together with his family. We’re blessed to have him as part of our team!

Traci Garrison

Financial Secretary

Traci Garrison serves as our financial secretary and joined our team in October of 2022.

She grew up in Connersville where she graduated from Temple Christian School. She has been in ministry for over 30 years. Seventeen of those years were spent in the Dominican Republic where she and her husband, Jeff, served as missionaries.

After the passing of her husband, Traci returned to Connersville to be near family. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and her dog.

Janet Martin

Church Secretary

Janet joined the staff at Baptist Temple in April of 2010 and provides administrative support to the church staff and its ministries. She wears many hats and is always serving behind the scenes.

She is a native of Connersville and has spent most of her life here. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, doing yard work, and gardening.
