Pulpit Committee Meeting – July 15, 2017 @ 7:00 AM
Attendees: Dale Carpenter, Sam Tuttle, Jeremy Mullins, Wayne Hudson, Joe Hudson, Tyler McDonald, Dave Roberts
Dale opened in prayer
Gwen Beckner confirmed that we have committed to supporting Jenni Stuckkie as she gets ready to go to the mission field in Italy at $100 per
month.
Joe Hudson asked Alan Harris to see what information he could find on Michael Elliott. Alan came back with the reason for Michael leaving his
church was that he was less progressive.
The deacons agreed that Dale will read Richard Boyce’s resignation letter to the congregation in next Sunday evening’s service.
Jeff Bell asked us to remove his name from consideration as a pastoral candidate.
David Gibbs will be preaching this Sunday morning. Dale and Jeremy will contact David Gibbs and ask to take him out to dinner tonight.
The deacons broke for prayer meeting, reconvened following prayer meeting and asked Steve Kirkwood to join us.
Sam opened in prayer
Jeremy, Dale and Sam collectively shared with Steve that he is no longer being considered as a prospective pastor. Steve took the news well. He said he was a little disappointed, but said above that, he wants God’s will to be done.
Jeremy closed in prayer.
